A movie about adopting rescue horses has been created! You can view it here, and it is being added to the website shortly.
More animals have been added to the website that are in desperate need of homes! Go to the "Adopt Me" sign on the secondary website to see them.
Our new logo has been posted! The horse's head in the logo is Legacy, and the rose in the corner represents Legacy's passing. The colors also represent our official colors light blue and navy.
Also remember to view Save Da Horses website at www.savedahorses.com They help rescues save horses from slaughter. If you are anti-slaughter and would like to help the cause, please view their website and join their Yahoo! group.
June's Urgent Animal of the Month- Ben
Ben is a 3 month old black German Shepherd. He was found as a stray, and the shelter took him in. Not much background information is known about Ben, but he is a very sweet and scared puppy. He came in with his sister Sally (who is also an urgent dog!). He is being treated for demodectic mange (not contagious). He's a very sweet boy and so is his siter Sally. He weighs around 22lbs. Please consider rescuing/adopting this little guy and/or his sister!

June's Horse 4 Adoption- Marbles
Marbles is such a sweet guy. He has been at the rescue almost all of his life. Marbles is around 20 years old. He's a dark bay Thoroughbred and is about 15.3h. Marbles is a great horse. He is not rideable due to an old injury (his left knee). He needs to be sedated for the farrier because of the pain in his leg. He gets along well with other horses and would be a great companion horse. He needs some training on the ground because he can be pushy and spooky at times. Marbles is a beautiful gelding and is ready for a new home!

June's Dog 4 Adoption- Jack
Jack is a 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix. He was not so lucky at his last shelter, so he was transfered to a new shelter where he could get some more time to find a family. Jack is a little energetic so he needs to go to a home that has children ages 6+. Jack is very friendly and he is so sweet. He loves going for walks and he is ready for his new home! Jack is neutered and is up to date on his shots.

Sad News
Venus, a 3 year old Thoroughbred mare had to be euthanized Monday. Venus had a very bad abscess and it was not improving. The vet reported there was nothing he could do. Venus was a very cute girl, and we are going to miss her! (pictures above and below)
Orion, a dapple grey gelding, was returned, unfortunately. He was returned because the owners were not able to handle him. But he is getting some training and he will be put up for adoption soon!
Fastgo, a chestnut Quarter Horse had an adoption pending, but the owners are no longer interested in him. So he is now available for adoption!

Lucky, a three-legged German Shepherd at MAGSR was finally adopted!
Bali, a 4 year old dark bay Morgan is going to have a foal! She is due any day now! Pictures of the new baby will be posted when it is born! Bali (Boll-ee) was a stray mare when she arrived at the rescue. She also had Strangles (which she recovered from!). See the story below.

Highlight of the Month
New Addition to the Farm- Bali's Baby
Bali (Boll-ee), is a four year old Morgan mare. She was brought into the rescue around December/January. She came in as a stray. Bali is very sweet and loves attention. She came in with Strangles, but after a few months, she recovered completely. Bali is a bomb-proof horse. She isn't afraid of anything. She loves getting groomed, bathed, and she loves everyone. Recently, it was discovered that Bali is pregnant! She is getting very big now! The foal is due any day! When the little foal is born, pictures will be posted on the website. After Bali is finished nursing the baby, she, and the baby will be put up for adoption!
